Questions

Which delimiters work?

Commas, semicolons, tabs and pipes. The tool guesses from the first lines; pick one yourself if it guesses wrong. Spreadsheet apps in countries that use a decimal comma often save CSV with semicolons.

Why are numbers kept as text?

So values like ZIP codes, phone numbers and IDs keep their leading zeros. Turn on Convert numbers to get real JSON numbers, true, false and null.

How are nested JSON objects written to CSV?

Each top-level key becomes a column. A nested object or list is written into its cell as JSON text.

Will Excel open the CSV with accents intact?

Download it with For Excel ticked. That adds a byte order mark, which tells Excel the file is UTF-8.
