How to blur faces in a photo

  1. Drop a photo. Faces are found automatically, on your device.
  2. Tap a box to leave that face alone, or drag on the photo to cover one it missed.
  3. Choose blur, pixelate or solid, then download the photo.

Questions

Is the photo uploaded?

No. The face model downloads to your browser once and runs there. The photo is processed in memory on your device and never sent anywhere.

Will it find every face?

It finds most faces turned roughly towards the camera. Very small, turned, covered or blurry faces can be missed, so check the result, drag a box over any it missed, or switch Sensitivity to High.

Is a blur safe enough?

Strong blur and pixelation hide a face from people looking at the photo. For anything sensitive choose Solid, which replaces the pixels completely and cannot be reversed.

Is the location data removed too?

Yes. The download is a new image drawn from the pixels, so camera details and GPS location from the original file are not carried over.
