Questions
How do I convert a time to another time zone?
Find each zone’s UTC offset on that date, then add or subtract the difference. London is UTC+1 in summer, so 09:00 in London is 08:00 UTC, which is 17:00 in Tokyo (UTC+9).
Why do UTC offsets change during the year?
Many places move their clocks for daylight saving time, so their offset from UTC changes twice a year. Check the date you are converting, not only today’s offset.
Why does a zone show +1 day?
The converted time falls on a different calendar date in that zone, so it is the next day (+1) or the previous day (−1). Late evening in New York is often the next morning in Tokyo.
What do the working-hour strips show?
Each strip follows the starting zone’s day, hour by hour. Shaded cells are 09:00 to 17:00 in that row’s zone, so you can see where the working hours of several zones overlap.
