Questions
Which apps open an .ics file?
Apple Calendar and Outlook on desktop open the file directly. Google Calendar and Outlook.com import it from their settings. Most other calendar apps can import it too.
Why does an all-day event end on the day after?
In calendar files the end date of an all-day event is the day after it finishes, so a one-day event on 4 November ends on 5 November. The tool does this for you.
How do time zones work?
Timed events are saved in UTC, so each person sees the start in their own time zone. The times you type are read in the time zone of your device.
Does the reminder work on every calendar?
Most do. The reminder is stored in the file as an alert that goes off before the start. The people who receive the event can still change or remove it.
