Questions
How do I count the days between two dates?
Subtract the earlier date from the later one. From 1 January to 31 December 2024 is 365 days, or 366 if the end date is included.
What happens when I add a month to 31 January?
The result is the last day of the next month when that month is shorter. 31 January 2024 plus one month is 29 February 2024, and 31 January 2025 plus one month is 28 February 2025.
What does “include end date” change?
It adds one day to the count, so a period that runs up to and including its last day is counted in full.
Are public holidays left out of the weekday count?
No. The weekday count only leaves out Saturdays and Sundays. Public holidays differ by country and are counted as weekdays.
