How is exact age calculated?
Count the full years since the date of birth, then the months and days left over. Someone born on 15 June 1990 is 36 years, 4 months and 19 days old on 3 November 2026.
What about a 29 February birthday?
Non-leap years have no 29 February, so the birthday is usually celebrated on 28 February or 1 March, depending on local law and custom. This calculator uses 1 March.
Does my time zone change the answer?
No. Dates are counted as calendar days in UTC, so the answer does not depend on your time zone or on daylight saving changes.
Why can’t I enter a future birth date?
A birth date after today cannot be used. A mistyped year is the usual cause, so check the year first.
