Questions
Will my photos be uploaded?
No. The photo is drawn onto a canvas in your browser, and the file never leaves your device.
Does the photo get cropped?
No. The whole photo is drawn inside the frame, and the space left over is filled with the background you choose. The photo is scaled to fit. With Original size, the frame is only as large as the photo, so nothing is scaled.
What is the blurred background?
It is the same photo, enlarged to fill the frame and softened, so the border matches the colours in the picture. White, black and custom colours are plain fills.
Which shape should I use?
Instagram feed posts commonly use 1:1 or 4:5, and stories and reels use 9:16. Platforms change their rules over time, so check the result in the app before you post.
