Questions
Will my photos be uploaded?
No. Each photo is decoded and redrawn inside your browser, so it never leaves your device.
Why are some phone photos sideways in other tools?
A phone stores the camera’s orientation as a tag in the file instead of turning the pixels. This tool applies that tag first, so the preview and the saved copy start upright before your turn is added.
Does rotating a JPG lower its quality?
Yes, a little. A JPG is decoded and saved again at quality 0.92, and every re-save adds some loss. PNG is lossless, so it stays exact. Keep the original if you may edit it again.
Is the location and camera data kept?
No. The copy is drawn on a new canvas, so GPS location and camera details from the original are not carried over. The Remove photo location tool removes them without re-encoding a JPG.
