Which phones can join from a Wi-Fi QR code?
iPhones with iOS 11 or later and most Android phones made in the last few years can join from the camera app. Older phones may need a QR scanner app.
Does this generator see my Wi-Fi password?
No. The code is built in your browser from what you type. Nothing is sent to a server, and nothing is kept after you close the tab.
Why is the password box hidden for an open network?
An open network has no password, so the code leaves it out. Choosing None hides the box.
Is it safe to put the code on a wall?
Anyone who scans it joins the network, so treat it like the password. Put it only where your guests can see it, and change the password if it leaks.
